The Handel and Haydn Society is seeking candidates for an anticipated part-time (approximately 1-2 days per week) Teaching Artist-in-Residence to lead a pilot elementary music program in the Boston Public Schools for the 2013-2014 school year, pending grant funding. Qualified candidates will have demonstrated successful experience working directly with children in a school setting, and must possess a bachelor’s degree in music or music education. In addition to degree-holding candidates, undergraduate and graduate students seeking internships will be considered for the position. The Handel and Haydn Society encourages candidates with an existing artistic relationship with the Handel and Haydn Society to apply. MA Licensure is not required. However, mandatory graduate level training in music education methodology will be provided to the successful candidate during the summer of 2013.
