Flexible, Monday - Friday 9am-5pm, minimum of 10 hours a week

Summary

The Handel and Haydn Society (H&H) is seeking an intern to assist with production of online and/or video assets. H&H is the oldest continuously performing arts organization in the country, gearing up for our Bicentennial in 2015.

H&H seeks a video production intern to contribute inspiration, stories, and content to catalogs, blogs, social media, and sponsor packets. Possible video projects may include behind the scenes glimpses into rehearsals, artist profiles, and educational videos.

Deadlines will be set by H&H staff and content will be subjective.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Learning about H&H’s mission & programming
  • Participating in brainstorming sessions about new video projects
  • Researching new uses of video marketing through social media, etc.
  • Assisting in the shooting of videos
  • Compiling clips, editing and uploading footage online on regular deadlines
  • May be requested to perform non-video tasks for H&H as needed

Requirements

  • Have ability to work quite independently
  • Be very reliable and responsive to working on a deadline
  • Take direction to work autonomously, but also collaborate with others as part of a team
  • Have experience with Final Cut in a Mac environment
  • Have strong and varied computer skills
  • Communicate effectively on the phone, in person and in writing
  • Possess a sense of humor
