Mandarin Oriental, Boston
This year's Society Ball was truly a night to remember, honoring Wat H. Tyler, Vice Chair of the Handel and Haydn Society Board of Governors for his immense contributions to H&H and the Boston community, and celebrating 15 years of our Young Women's Chorus. The evening was the most successful event in H&H's fundraising history, with 300 guests and a net of over $250,000 for our education and artistic initiatives.
Be sure to save the date for next year's Society Ball, March 22, 2014.
the Young Women’s Chorus:
celebrating 15 years
The Karen S. and George D. Levy Educational Outreach Program of the Handel and Haydn Society strengthens our cultural community through music education for people of all ages. This season marks the 15th anniversary of the Young Women’s Chorus, one of four choruses that comprise the Vocal Apprenticeship Program. This year the Young Women’s Chorus provides 68 talented high school students from 28 New England communities the opportunity to grow musically and become confident individuals through intensive choral education, under gifted conductor Alyson Greer.
