How do I order tickets?

You may purchase tickets by calling our Box Office at 617 266 3605 or visiting us at Horticultural Hall, 300 Massachusetts Avenue. Our Box Office hours are Monday to Friday, 10am -6pm. Tickets are also sold online. Click here to order a subscription to the 2008-09 Season.

What is a subscription?

A subscription, or ticket package, describes an order of tickets for 4 or more different programs in any given concert season. Our ticket packages offer a significant discount off our individual ticket prices as well as additional benefits, such as advanced seating and discounts on additional ticket purchases.

When do individual tickets go on sale?

Tickets for individual concerts go on sale in late summer before the season starts.

May I bring my child?

The Handel and Haydn Society is happy to welcome children 8 and older at our performances. Younger children will be seated at the discretion of the concert hall management. We do ask that you strongly consider your child's ability to sit through the performance, as some concerts can be fairly long. Everyone, regardless of age, must have a ticket for admittance.

What if I am injured or otherwise physically disabled and need special accommodations?

The Handel and Haydn Society Box Office is glad to address any concerns you may have. If you require wheelchair seating, aisle seats due to a cast, a seeing-eye dog to accompany you, assisted listening devices, or anything else, we urge to let us know when you are ordering your tickets so that we can do everything to ensure you have an enjoyable concert experience.

May I choose my own seats?

If you have very specific seating requests, we suggest you to call our Box Office at 617 266 3605.

Also, you may wish to allow our staff to choose the best available seats at the time you order. Simply check the "Best Available" button when ordering online to notify our staff when ordering. They are very well versed in all of our performance halls and will put you in the best seats we have available at that time.

So what are the best seats?

To some degree, this is a manner of preference. All of our performance halls have wonderful acoustic properties that ensure beautiful sound throughout the hall. Some guests are not comfortable sitting in the balconies, but others prefer it. Some like to sit as close to the stage as possible, others prefer to be further back where they can see the full stage. If you wish to sit in a general area of the hall, all you need to do is let our box office staff know and they will gladly honor your request. Please feel welcome to ask our Box Office staff for their advice on seating. Our priority is seating you where you will most enjoy the performance.
