to the Symphony Hall stage when they perform in the “Holiday

the direction of Grant Llewellyn. The Young Women’s
Chorus (ages 15-18) will sing in a free “Vespers” concert
with choirs from Wellesley College (Lisa Graham, conductor)
on Sunday, December 4, 8.00pm at Houghton Chapel, Wellesley
College . The Handel and Haydn Singers (ages 8-10) join the
Youth Chorus and the Young Women’s Chorus for a festival
holiday concert on Sunday, December 11 at 5:30 p.m. at United
Parish, Brookline . Admission is $6 at the door: all proceeds

Record Subscription Sales in 2005-2006 Season
The
Handel and Haydn Society has announced that subscription
sales for the 2005-2006 season are the highest in the organization's
history. "At a time when many arts organizations are
experiencing a decline in subscribers, Handel and Haydn is
thrilled at the vote of confidence from Boston area concert-goers," states
Mary Deissler, Handel and Haydn Executive Director. “Seeking
feedback from the audience about programming and focusing
on customer service have been key. " Subscription income
and seats have increased 19% over the past two years. Gregg
Sorensen, Director of Marketing and Public Relations, adds "Whether
it's offering free or discounted parking or opportunities
to meet our musicians, we strive to do a better job every
year at meeting our subscribers’ needs."

Ambassadors Welcome New Subscribers
Kicking
off its second season of activities, Handel and Haydn Ambassadors
is a corps of longtime patrons, supporters, and fans of the
Society who volunteer time during the concert season to lend
a personal touch in welcoming and connecting with the Society’s
new subscribers. Headed with characteristic verve by Handel
and Haydn Governor Bonnie Wax, the Ambassadors look in the
coming season to expand upon their inaugural year’s
activities by personally thanking and meeting new subscribers,
staffing welcome tables at each concert, and hosting receptions
for the Society’s newest patrons.
The Ambassadors corps of 50 would love to extend its reach
by adding new members. If you are an outgoing and enthusiastic
Handel and Haydn fan who would like to add your vim and vigor
to the Ambassadors’ effort, contact Bonnie Wax at 617-738-5480
or ewax@kwb.com or Marc
Young at the Handel and Haydn office, 617-262-1815 or myoung@handelandhaydn.org.
